Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme

The Department of Mechanical Engineering, New Horizon College of Engineering, in association with MSME, organised an Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme on
9th March 2026 at the Tejas Seminar Hall. The programme was conducted from 11:00 AM to 02:00 PM with the objective of creating awareness about entrepreneurship opportunities and government support systems among engineering students.

The event began with an invocation song, setting a positive and respectful tone. The formal inauguration was carried out by Dr D. V. Sreekanth, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, who welcomed the gathering. In his address, he highlighted the importance of entrepreneurship in today’s competitive and innovation-driven environment.

The programme featured Mr Raghunandan N. K., a seasoned academic and industry professional with over 25 years of experience. He shared valuable insights on identifying real-world customer problems and converting them into sustainable entrepreneurial solutions. He also emphasised strategic thinking, market understanding, and effective execution as key success factors. Additionally, he guided students on various MSME funding opportunities and support schemes available for aspiring entrepreneurs.

The second speaker, Mr Sunil S. Paladugula, Trainee Engineer at MSME Technology Centre, Bengaluru, explained the facilities, training programmes, and incubation support offered by MSME. He highlighted government initiatives aimed at nurturing entrepreneurship among young engineers.

The programme concluded with an interactive doubt-clearing session followed by a vote of thanks by Dr D. V. Sreekanth, making the event informative and impactful for the participants.
