The Line Follower Competition was successfully conducted as part of Quantum X 2026, with enthusiastic participation from 58 teams. The event aimed to assess the efficiency of autonomous robots in following a predefined path with precision and speed.

A non-symmetrical track was designed to introduce varying levels of difficulty and to fairly evaluate the adaptability and control mechanisms of the robots. The competition was organised in two rounds, held from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

During Round 1, each team was provided with a single attempt to complete the track within a fixed time limit. Performance was evaluated based on completion time and the distance covered in case of incomplete runs. Based on the results of the first round, the top 15 teams were shortlisted for Round 2.

The second round tested the consistency and performance of the selected teams under the same evaluation criteria. The event was efficiently managed through proper scheduling and parallel execution, ensuring smooth progression throughout the day.

Clear rules and effective coordination ensured that all teams completed their runs within the stipulated time. Participants demonstrated strong technical skills, innovative robotic designs, and a competitive spirit throughout the event. Overall, the competition served as an engaging and challenging platform for students to showcase their practical knowledge and expertise in robotics.
