Guest Talk-Coding for Mechanical Engineers
The Department of Mechanical Engineering organised an insightful Guest talk titled “Coding for Mechanical Engineers “for the V semester Mechanical Engineering students on 04/10/2024. Ms Puja Gopal Yadav, Technical Consultant-IT, EduCADD Training Solutions, Bangalore, delivered the session. The session aimed to underscore the critical role of coding in the Mechanical Engineering domain and provided valuable insights into various programming tools and languages that benefit engineers.
The speaker highlighted several essential programming languages, such as Python, MATLAB, and C++, and explained their applications in computational fluid dynamics, finite element analysis, and automation. Additionally, the session covered practical examples of how coding helps in real-world engineering projects, from designing and simulating mechanical systems to optimising manufacturing processes. Overall, the lecture was an engaging and informative experience, equipping students with a deeper understanding of the importance of coding in mechanical engineering and inspiring them to develop their programming skills further.
