Guest lecture on “Product development and processing using DELMIA”
A Guest lecture on “Product development and processing using DELMIA” Software in automotive industries was delivered by Mr. KUMAR ARPAN, Senior Solution Consultant from EDS technologies in PLM division. He has 9 years of experience New Product Development, & Process Engineering of Various Welding, TCF Assembly –Techniques by using DELMIA as a Simulation Software. He is responsible to understand customer Requirement & give best solutions as well he is also responsible to make various POCS (Proof of Concept) to make customer to understand.
Digital Enterprise Lean Manufacturing Interactive Application (DELMIA). An integral part of the Dassault Systems 3D EXPERIENCE platform is the connection between the virtual and real worlds. DELMIA, powered by the 3D EXPERIENCE platform, helps industries and service providers connect the virtual and real worlds of value networks to collaborate, model, optimize and perform. Operational excellence requires harmony across the value network. DELMIA provides solutions to leverage the virtual world of modeling and simulation with the real world of operations to provide a complete solution to value network stakeholders: From suppliers, to manufacturers, to logistics and transportation providers, to service operators and workforces.
This application is related to simulation of global industrial operations such as collaborative operations, Industrial Engineering, Planning & Optimatizaton, and Manufacturing & Operations. This software also facilitates for analyzing cycle time and other related parameters for each process.
There were 100 students present for this guest lecture from 6th Semester Sec B and Sec C. The various Videos used by speaker during this session helped the students to understand better about production and manufacturing line. The Videos of Jaguar & Land Rover car manufacturing and assembly line gave clear understanding of usage and importance of DELMIA software and how best the efficiency of production line can be improved. The speaker discussed the importance of this application in today’s automotive industries and opportunities for getting placed in companies such as Mercedes, Airbus, and Land Rover etc.
This guest talk benefited the student community to learn advanced simulation software DELMIA used in product manufacturing and processes.
