Guest lecture on KSCST Projects and project management – 23rd Aug 2019
Expert: Dr. S. G. Sreekanteswara Swamy, Executive Secretary, Karnataka State Council for Science and Technology ,Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.
The department of mechanical engineering organized a guest lecture on the topic of KSCST Projects and project management. The speaker for the session was Dr. S. G. Sreekanteswara Swamy serving as Executive Secretary in KSCST, Bangalore. The speaker has over 30 years of experience in the field Space Application and written, edited, translated and authored books such as Renewable Energy Sources, Solid Waste Management etc.
The session included an overview pathways of science & technology and entrepreneurship. The project selection related to new applications was discussed. The students were also informed about literature survey, research methodology, and conclusion for mini and major projects. Planning and identifications with available resources to start the projects were explained clearly.
How to write KSCST proposals for final year funding projects elaborated in details. He has highlighted its importance and supports provided for projects. The selections of appropriate projects, research work and internship in final year which boosted the interest level of students.
The overall program was very much interesting and benefitted for the students to select good projects to fulfill the social needs.
