Guest Lecture on Emerging Automotive Technologies

On the 9th of November, the Mechanical department of NHCE had organized a guest lecture on the topic “EMERGING AUTOMOTIVE TECHNOLOGIES” through a zoom session. Distinguished speaker, P. Rajendran from NANDI VISHWAVIDYALAYA NANDI TOYOTA gave us a guest lecture to help students gain more knowledge on the emerging automotive technologies.

P. Rajendran sir has immense professional experience. He served in the Indian Air force for 20 years. He has 10 years of experience as the HOD of Automobile at Hindustan Electronics Academy from 2006 – 2016. He was a certified Trainer for Volkswagen group from 2011-2015 at Hindustan Electronics Academy. Also, he has 3 years of experience as the HOD of Automobile – External Training Programs (from 2016 – 2019)
The session started at 10 o’clock in the morning when Shiva Prakash sir delivered the welcome speech and P. Rajendran sir briefed us about himself, the company ‘Nandi Toyota’ and their achievements &trainings they organise for students to gain more practical knowledge. After that, sir taught the basics and trending concepts like different engines, valve timing diagrams, turbochargers and superchargers, etc in
nearly 2.5 hours.

All of the above-mentioned topics were clearly explained to us in an interesting way with the help of presentations. He also spoke about the industry expectations for upcoming engineers. The session was an interactive one where we were asked questions by P. Rajendran sir relevant to the various topics that he covered.

After his presentation concluded, we were given the chance to ask him our questions on the topics that were covered and also regarding the upcoming developments and requirements in the industry. The session was definitely a beneficial one which helped us understand the trending and emerging automotive technologies.
