The Department of Mechanical Engineering, in collaboration with the Career Development Center, organized a Guest Talk on “Awareness Programme on Reliability Engineering for Sustainable Oil & Gas Operations” for 4th and 6th semester students. The programme aimed to highlight the importance of reliability engineering in modern oil and gas industries. It focused on key aspects such as sustainability, operational safety, maintenance practices, and industrial excellence. The event featured distinguished experts from Quest Global who shared valuable insights. The session began with a warm welcome to the guests, faculty members, and students. The speakers emphasized the role of reliability engineering in ensuring efficient and sustainable industrial operations.

They also discussed real-world challenges faced in the oil and gas sector. Practical strategies related to maintenance, risk reduction, and system reliability were elaborated. Students were encouraged to select core industry-related electives to enhance their technical expertise.

The experts also provided information about career opportunities at Quest Global. They highlighted that fresh engineering graduates may receive salary packages of around 4 LPA. The session concluded with an interactive discussion, enabling students to clarify doubts and gain deeper insights into industry expectations and career prospects.
