Industrial Visit to Taegu Tec India Pvt. Ltd
Mechanical Engineering students of the fourth semester, accompanied by Prof. Gowtham Raj R and Prof. Rameswari C., visited TaeguTec India Pvt. Ltd. on April 23, 2026, for an enriching industrial experience. The objective was to provide practical exposure to advanced manufacturing processes in the tooling industry.
TaeguTec, a global leader in carbide cutting tools, specialises in precision engineering solutions for automotive, aerospace, and general engineering sectors. The session began with an introduction to the company’s history, global presence, and role in machining efficiency.
Students toured the facility and observed raw material preparation, powder metallurgy, CNC grinding, and coating processes. They witnessed quality control measures, including dimensional checks and hardness testing.
Automation practices such as robotics and CNC systems highlighted Industry 4.0 applications. The R&D team demonstrated how new tool designs are tested and optimised for durability and efficiency. Students learned the importance of precision engineering and innovation in modern manufacturing.
Feedback from attendees reflected appreciation for the hands-on exposure to cutting-edge technologies. The visit successfully bridged theoretical knowledge with industrial application, preparing students for future careers in engineering.
