SEMINAR AND WORKSHOP

Workshop on SAP Business Builder

On 28 April 2026, the Department of Mechanical Engineering, in association with the Career Development Centre, organised a SAP Business Builder Workshop at the SAP Centre of Excellence, NHCE, for SAP students. The session was conducted by Mr Vijay Kumar Vipin, Senior Developer, SAP Labs, with the support of the academic and industry leadership from NHCE and the Career Development Centre.

The workshop introduced students to SAP Business Builder, a cloud-based platform designed to strengthen data literacy and business storytelling through interactive learning. Participants were introduced to the platform and its key features through a comprehensive demonstration and a guided walkthrough of its interface.

Students then took part in hands-on activities using The Agent Game, working collaboratively in teams to solve real-world business challenges. Leveraging SAP Analytics Cloud, they analysed, interpreted, and visualised business data to support informed strategic decision-making. The activities provided practical exposure to data-driven problem-solving while encouraging the application of analytical thinking and critical reasoning skills.

Team-based competitions and leaderboard challenges fostered an engaging and collaborative learning environment. Students participated enthusiastically throughout the workshop, demonstrating keen interest in exploring a range of business scenarios. The gamified learning approach enabled them to gain a deeper understanding of business concepts while building confidence in working with data and analytics.

Participant feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with students appreciating the workshop’s relevance, interactive format, and strong industry orientation. Overall, the event successfully bridged the gap between theoretical learning and practical application, equipping students with valuable skills in analytics, data visualisation, strategic decision-making, and teamwork.
